You may ask, "How on earth is house hunting like Christmas?" Well I shall tell you.
Every time one of my parents decides to browse the realty sites online, looking for hopeful future homes, we all gather around.
Pulling up anything we can find to sit on, we all huddle around the computer screen.
Talking excitedly about the houses we find, we "ohh" and "Ahh" at them. Bursting out things such as "That’s my room!" or "Can't you just picture the horses in that field?"
It something we all love to do. Stare at listing after listing for sometimes even hours at a time.
Then when we find a house we like, we go to Google earth and map it out.
We locate the nearest town and see how the lay of the land looks.
Then we notice something like an airport in the back yard of one of our favorite houses and it's "On to the next house!"
It may not sound like Christmas to you, but it is fun. For a while anyways. After a while, it gets tiring and we all slowly part to go our own ways. Leaving the parents to look on their own.
But each time we click the little link that brings you to the house info, it's like unwrapping a present. Sometimes you like what you seen, sometimes you don’t'.
But we are all anxiously awaiting the moment when we will all fall in love with one house. We'll all burst out "That's my room!" and spend hours just staring at the pictures.
Hopefully, one day, we'll find a house like that. But until then, we will all gather around the computer and stare at listing after listing.
